Samsung Galaxy Book S Review

Samsung is working on its next ever-connected PC running Windows which is powered by Snapdragon. This system is called Galaxy Book S and is the counterpart to Galaxy Book first. ACPC first turned up on the Geekbench in the form of a mystery Samsung computer. The list suggests it is powered by a 2.84GHz octa-core CPU. The clock frequency alone gave the impression that it could be a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855. The device was once again shown when the Bluetooth SIG stopped for certification.

Now, legendary Lexter Ivan Plas has confirmed that Samsung is working on a new device called the Galaxy Book S. Samsung has not released any information beyond the official name of the next Windows Notebook running Qualcomm. The Geekbench listing shows that the device scored a respectable 2011 single-core test and a 6047 multi-core test. It runs the Microsoft Windows 10 Home 32-bit version with 8GB of RAM. It is not clear why Samsung adopts the mobile-centered Snapdragon 855 when it comes out with a laptop operating system called Qualcomm Snapdragon 8CX.

Compared to the Galaxy Book, the big upgrade is found in the standard model in the form of 8GB RAM and 4GB RAM. The key bench benchmark marks may not be considered final because the device may still be in its testing phase. It is not immediately clear when Samsung plans to launch the Galaxy Book S to the global market.
